At least 10 years of IT experience and have demonstrated ability in the direction of high quality, small, medium and large scale IT projects. Must have strong hi-tech industry background.
Overall, at least 5 years of management experience and at least 2 years of managing an ERP team.
Experience with Process, Program and Project Management. Experience with Infrastructure and IT Management Applications and Support.
Very strong written/oral communication skills.
BS in EE/CE or equivalent.

Formal methodology training.
Oracle implementation experience.
MS in EE/CE or equivalent.


The Director, Enterprise Application Services is responsible for managing the design, development, release, and maintenance of business application systems for business functions company wide. In this role, you will be working closely with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify users' information requirements and seek opportunities to build systems based on new computing architectures (e.g. client/server, intranet, Web) that will improve business processes and support critical business strategies, while educating the workforce about the strategic use of technology in the business. This position reports directly to the CIO/VP of Information Technology and works closely with software engineering, operations, and other IT functional areas that enable multi-platform application development.
This position is responsible for collaborating with business unit management, Technology/Business Consultants (Account Managers), the various IT functional areas, and outside consultants to assess feasibility, determine costs versus benefits, prioritize project, and develop and implement systems plans that address the information requirements of the business and adhere to established strategic business and systems objectives. The incumbent plans and directs the activities of a group of development manager, programmers, and specialist, aligned by business unit/area, who work closely with their customers in defining customer requirements and in designing, developing, and implementing business application systems. The business application systems development function serves as general contractor on multiple projects across multiple platforms and subcontracts within the IT organization and outside vendors for technology and service support required to meet customer needs for systems.

The individual occupying this position also directs a Business Application Delivery Group, whose members are assigned to business units or areas. These positions closely collaborate with their customers in examining solution options and are responsible for planning and managing multiple application systems development, maintenance, and enhancement projects utilizing new computing architecture platforms.

The roles of the Director of Enterprise Application Services includes: Provide leadership and direction to project management professionals assigned to business area projects; Interfaces with Departmental senior management providing leadership and direction regarding IT strategies and technologies and to provide creative IT solutions to business problems; Identifies areas where IT can make significant enhancements within the customer environment by helping to increase productivity, eliminate unnecessary functions/processes, and improve efficiencies; Aligns IT projects and strategies with the customer's business objectives; Interacts with external Brocade customers and business partners to help solve significant IT challenges; Ensures projects follow the proper planning, scheduling and management procedures of established Company guidelines; Accountable for assuring the quality, cost effectiveness, and timeliness of completed projects; Maintains consistent communication to staff and management; Oversees Performance Management Process with all associates in unit; Performs all aspects of cost center management, and budgeting.
